How are you spending your time this winter? Lately, life has been all about finding time between work and class to get outside. Whether it's a 45 minute lift in my garage to help get ready for ski season, or a four hour hike on the weekend, being "retired" from racing has made physical activity more joyful and feel less like a chore. Where are you skiing this year? I have an Ikon Pass, since most Utah resorts are on the Ikon, so I'll be looking to maximize my seven days everywhere I can. Personally, I'm most looking forward to skiing Deer Valley's endless groomers, but I'm also really excited to ski Snowbasin more! I went there for the first time last winter and loved it. I'll also get a few Mount Washington Valley days when I go home for Christmas (shoutout to the east coast) and maaaaybe I will sneak over to Europe in January, but that's very tbd. | | How are you spending your time this winter? What are you skiing on? (Daily Drivers) I have a pair of Rossignol Hero Master skis, which are super fun to go rip arcs on. I also will probably take my old 188 Rossi GS race skis out every once and a while, because I can't help myself. What are you into lately? Bird watching. Board games. Playing tennis. Fancy little coffee drinks. Dark chocolate covered almonds. The NYT Cooking app. What's your skiing hot take? This will get me in so much trouble in Utah, but my hot take is that Alta is overrated. I'm not saying that it's not a phenomenal ski area with a great vibe, I'm just a groomer princess and I don't fully get the hype. | | What are you skiing on? What are you... Watching (TV, Movies, YouTube) I love watching SNL on YouTube (because I don't stay up to watch it live), and I've been a big fan of this season of the Great British Baking Show. I sound so vanilla, but I really don't like watching intense TV and movies - that's my time to decompress and dissociate and I don't want to end up feeling more stressed! Listening to (Artist or Song) Top right now: 100 Summers by Rainbow Kitten Surprise Grab your 10 songs you would load to a ski playlist called "Alice" This is going to be the most eclectic mix, so buckle up. I would legitimately love skiing to this mix haha. - "Should I Stay or Should I go" – The Clash
- "Police on My Back" – The Clash
- "First Class" – Rainbow Surprise
- "Off My Mind" – Joe P
- "The Weight" – The Band
- "Wildflowers" – Tom Petty
- "Homesick" – Noah Kahan
- "Burn Burn Burn" – Zach Bryan
- "Read My Mind" – The Killers
- "What Would You Do" – Tate McRae

Eating or drinking lately Eating homemade gluten-free banana bread (Sam is celiac), spicy peanut noodles with chicken, my daily breakfast bowl: part Kashi wheat biscuits, part granola, plain greek yogurt, splash of milk, frozen blueberries, spoonful of peanut butter, and cacao nibs on top. Drinking Cabernet Franc, not enough water, and it's almost eggnog season!! | | Eating or drinking lately Eating homemade gluten-free banana bread (Sam is celiac), spicy peanut noodles with chicken, my daily breakfast bowl: part Kashi wheat biscuits, part granola, plain greek yogurt, splash of milk, frozen blueberries, spoonful of peanut butter, and cacao nibs on top.
