Will recently set off by kayak to explore the wild, untamed beauty of Norway and in true Maverick fashion, he came back with some great stories.
While wild camping along the water’s edge, he narrowly avoided disaster when the wake from passing boats surged toward his camp. The wave missed him by inches. Gear stayed dry, the tent was swiftly dragged 2 meters uphill, and just like that, crisis averted!
The crossing of Fensfjorden, a 5km stretch cutting through one of Europe’s busiest shipping routes, was a calculated move, timed with precision... until it wasn’t. About 1.5km in, two container ships unexpectedly upped anchor, he avoided them or they avoided him by 700m, closer than he’d liked!
Will has been a NITE Maverick for over four years, pushing both himself and his gear to the limit in some of the harshest, most remote environments on the planet. Through it all, his ALPHA Horizon has never faltered.
For Will, this isn’t just travel, it’s a relentless pursuit of the next challenge, the next horizon, the next story.
