We've just begun bottling the latest batch of wine from the 2025 vintage. A Nero d'Avola sourced from Heathcote. Nero d'Avola is a traditionally Sicilian red grape variety that has come to thrive in the warmer areas of southern Australia and retains its excellent natural acidity.
Krys has named this latest batch Unmarked, in honour of her late cousin Mark, who suddenly passed earlier this year. He was a selfless chap who was always there to lend a hand and loved getting involved in making things, whether it was wine, salami or any other family tradition.
To launch the new vintage, we are planning on having a mini cellar door at the Ballarat shop on Sunday 16th November, for both trying on boots and having a taste of wine. Boots and wine in Ballarat on a Sunday just before Christmas? What more could you ask for?
