Geelong's new 9-storey, 5-Star Green Star-rated cultural icon began to draw publicity long before its official opening last November. In the design, ARM Architecture wanted to “celebrate the tradition of great libraries, to create an ambitious, future-proof building, and to design an organic structure that invites the natural world in”. In Sydney, Bates Smart's work with Sparke Helmore Lawyers over the past year has culminated in a warm, welcoming workspace spanning 5,000 sqm in Sydney’s MLC Tower. | | | | The new Geelong Library is the biggest project ever commissioned by the city. The building is intended to become a place for members of the community to gather, with each level designed for a different audience and reading lounges and study rooms throughout. | | | Sparke Helmore Lawyers / Bates Smart | | | | Spanning 5,000 sqm in Sydney’s MLC Tower, the new workspace of Sparke Helmore Lawyers places company culture and staff wellbeing at the forefront, with a design that focuses on increasing teamwork and engagement.
