HALLOWEEN CAKE TOPPERS Here's What You'll Need: • 1 1/2" black satin ribbon • Floral Wire (22g or 18g for a thicker wire; I used gold) • White puff paint • Wire cutters • Scissors or Pinking Shears To Make: 1. Cut various lengths of wire (between 8-12" as you'll want to create different heights) and various lengths of ribbon (about 6-8" each). 2. Take one piece of wire and wrap the end around the middle of one of the ribbons (I folded the excess wire up so it would be hidden in the finished bat). To Make: 1. Next, knot the ribbon once, and using scissors or pinking shears, create the wings on the ribbon edges (if using pinking shears, I recommend cutting at an angle to create the wing shape). You won't want to pull the knot too tightly or else your bat will have a little body! 4. Add two eyes with the puff paint let dry. 3. It's super easy to make in cake or cupcake form and so flavorful (but mostly I love being able to eat the leftover whiskey ganache as a snack with pretzels! Try it and thank me later). To make it spooky I just swapped the frosting and ganache, using the frosting in between the layers and pouring the ganache on top (very Cake from the Black Lagoon!)" Click for Recipe!
