Orkney’s Caithness slab coastline was Wills’ most recent kitchen and kayaking adventure. Orkney offers an exceptional variety of paddling, the coastline can be wild and exposed, with dramatic cliffs and Atlantic swell, but there are also sheltered waters and countless opportunities to explore close inshore.
Sea kayaking here is less about simply covering distance and more about getting into the coastline, paddling beneath cliffs, investigating caves and geos, weaving around stacks and following the natural contours of the rock.
