Ben and Oliver are only a few weeks away from the world’s longest river race, the Yukon 1000. The unsupported expedition challenges competitors to navigate the remote Yukon River from Whitehorse in Canada to the Dalton Highway Bridge in Alaska, 1000 miles later.
The race tests survival skills, strategy, and mental fortitude as much as physical endurance. Self supported, no contact with the outside world for the race duration, sleeping with the wildlife and competing with self will and determination to finish.
Committing themselves to raising £30,000 for their charities Race Against Dementia and Sue Ryder through their initiative known as Mission Memory.
Watch the guys as they ready themselves and explain the reasons why they are undertaking such a huge challenge.
