| | ANNUAL MIGRATION
Every summer those of us who crave more time on snow are left with a few options to keep the dream of staying on snow alive. Last month three of our team athletes made their annual migration north of the border to Whistler to not only keep up their training but to coach the next generation of freeskiers. We checked in with X Games medalists Alex Hall and Mac Forehand, who spent several weeks at Momentum Camp, and Jaelin Kauf at ID One Pro Mogul Camp. | | | | | | |
| | Working, skiing and training at Momentum Ski Camp was a new experience for Alex as he typically spends his summers on snow at Mt. Hood in Oregon. The trip farther north was a welcome change to his past summer routine and allowed him to ski with more of the US Team and up and comers soon to be battling him for podiums. | | As he has been coming to Whistler and Momemtun Ski Camp since he was a little grom, making the transition to coach and invited athlete brought the summer skiing experience full circle for Mac. He discussed the changes the camp has gone through over the years, how much snow piled up over the winter and the amazing features the dig crew is able to build for everyone to learn and train on. | | At the olympic level there is hardly an off-season. A few weeks training and coaching at the ID One Pro Mogul Camp in Whistler over the summer is just one of the many "off-season" stops for Jaelin. The time spent on snow in the summer is special to Jaelin as the intensity is dialed back from her winter competition circuit and she gets to be pushed to greater heights as she watches and coaches all the future professional girl skiers charge along side her.
