World's first Mylo™️ garments made from mushroom leather
Stella McCartney has released the world's first-ever Mylo™️ garments innovated from vegan mushroom leather – a soft, substantial, sustainable animal-leather alternative made from mycelium, the underground root system of fungi. Created by Bolt Threads, it is remarkably realistic without being plastic, unlike most synthetic options, and has much fewer environmental impacts. Inspired by V is for Vegan from our McCartney A to Z Manifesto, the prototypes embody the potential of this next-gen material.
