And, while backcountry skiing might be the trendiest form of skiing right now, it's powdery rewards come with the greatest risks.
In the ski movies we flock to ahead of each ski season or the clips we watch on YouTube and Instagram, the best skiers in the world are often featured floating seamlessly through untouched pillow lines and getting face shots with every turn.
