For the first time in Australia, the ColourForm Sofa Group by Scholten & Baijings for Herman Miller arrives on our shores. One of the most hotly anticipated designs to come from Europe this season, ColourForm represents the inaugural collaboration of these two innovators in contemporary design and two stalwart brands in the Living Edge family.

To mark the occasion, we hosted an intimate preview soiree with Carole Baijings in the Living Edge Sydney showroom sharing her unique approach to chromatography with the leading design minds of Australia. Read more about the evening, below.

The colour world of Scholten & Baijings

Husband-and-wife team Carole Baijings and Stefan Scholten take colour and textiles as the springboard of innovation. In this case the duo worked with Maharam Design Group to develop two upholstery textiles for ColourForm, to create a draped look, as if blankets have been folded over the wooden frame.

ColourForm Sofa Series is a versatile addition to the Herman Miller portfolio. Here, subtle geometry merges with a delicate play of light and shadow across a suite of textiles. The full gamut of human behaviours and physiology are supported through ColourForm Sofa Series' suite of lounge landscapes and modular configurations. It's the way you've always wanted to do things: whether that be for work or play... or something in-between.
