BassamFellows didn’t set out to create a candle, having never really used them in their homes. A friendly encounter and debate with one of the world’s leading fragrance creators however led to a challenging design brief – to create a candle that even non-candle users will love. The brief called for a subtle yet distinctive scent, artisanally made, using the most essential natural ingredients. SHOP NOW The result: Sylvan and Petrichor Sylvan is "the scent of sunlight streaming through woodland." A minimal, precious woods scent that is spiritual, deep and invigorating, evoking the bucolic landscapes of Connecticut. Artisanally crafted with Hinoki Wood Accord, Cedar, Labdanum, Thyme, and Incense. Petrichor is "the scent of rain on dry earth." A minimal, precious woods scent that is dry, fresh and airy, with earthy underlying notes redolent of the desert landscapes of Southern California. Artisanally crafted with Anise, Bay Leaves, Eucalyptus, Patchouli, Rose Bulgare, Suede, and Alaska Cedar. Meet the men behind the magic. Scott Fellows Scott Fellows is a creative director who merges expertise in business and brand strategy with the instincts of a designer. He has forged innovative partnerships and led product design and development for some of the world’s leading brands. Craig Bassam Australian-born Craig Bassam is an architect, interior designer, furniture designer, and product designer. As the company’s chief designer, Bassam is responsible for BassamFellows’ celebrated Craftsman Modern aesthetic.
