Moving Shop, Journeying into Apparel and Magazine Features

UPDATE: CHANGES TO THE SHOP FOR 2024

Last newsletter we alluded to some big changes happening between our stores. We worked over the summer break to renovate our Ballarat shop, expanding its space and brought the bulk of our shoe & boot fitting stock over, in the lead up to now having Ballarat as our flagship store. In turn, it was also the beginning of some reflection and the need to simplify some things, which led to the decision to wind down the Richmond store as we prepare to move it when the lease ends in early April this year.

Customers have until Saturday 6th April to check out the distilled Wootten Goods store in Richmond if they're wanting to try on Gordon/CharlieJack/Jill and Bob/Bobette boots.

Once we move from Richmond, we will then have everything in the one location at Ballarat. It's a pretty nice country drive, and there is a lot to see and do in the region. Check out what's on in Ballarat here, our neighbours The Greenhouse Ballarat and the new Distillary in town Itinerant Spirits are two we'd highly recommend.

Hopefully we see some familiar faces in the coming months. We also plan to open the first Sunday of each month from April, to give people who have commitments Friday/Saturday, the opportunity to come and check everything out.

A JOURNEY INTO APPAREL - DENIMSMITH JEANS

[ Denimsmith Jeans when new ]

This year, we're branching out.

We'll be working with other local makers who share our ethos to bring together a collection of apparel and more that will age with grace and stand the test of time.

We're starting with these Denimsmith Jeans, made in Melbourne from 13.5oz Japanese denim. Here's Jess pictured in a new pair (above) and an older pair (below), that after nearly two years of hard wear, they're actually looking better than the first day he got them.

We're working on a bunch of things with other local makers, including knitwear, garments and hopefully even some furniture pieces! Fun times. Follow along on Instagram for updates and of course, we'll keep you posted in our e-newsletters.
