Industry West Newsletter Issue No. 2 | | Life is a project—for all of us! And just like interior design projects, each one of us is unique in our needs and how those needs are addressed—no client is alike, therefore no project is alike. It's for that reason that our recent partnership with Key Healthcare felt destined from the start. | | Connected through a trusted partner, we immediately knew we wanted to help Key Healthcare transform their Malibu property into a uniquely polished Teen Residential Treatment Center that's focused on helping youth deal with substance abuse and mental health issues. I met with Key Healthcare's founders during a whirlwind 24-hour trip in December 2022 and immediately knew they wanted their space to be as unique and personal as the struggles their clients are facing. But they needed help. | | The Malibu property is host to a 60-day program in one of the most beautiful locations in the country, using evidence-based clinical modalities to help teens overcome their challenges and providing a safe and supportive environment for them to heal and recover. | | Co-Founders Evan Powell and Ryan Blivas are incredibly passionate about the treatment center and have a very clear vision for the feeling that they wanted the space to evoke: Safety, comfort, and most importantly, a place of healing and community. We love to work with passionate people because at the heart of Industry West is a passion for innovation and inspired design. If we can be a part of a project where we can create concepts of safety and comfort through our design choices—there isn't anything more rewarding. To this day we are still actively working with the founders on their upcoming projects for future sites. What started as a fast site visit has turned into a longstanding partnership that will allow Key Healthcare to equip teens with the right tools to heal continually. | | Until next time, Brooke Dovie Gay, Senior Project Director at Industry West | | | | |
