Check out our favorite gear for frigid temps!
The Warmest Gear for the Coldest Month of the Year Colorado may get 300 days of sunshine a year, but that doesn't stop the state we call home at Spyder from having frigid days. Our neighbors of Fraser, CO near Winter Park Resort, just 29 miles from our Headquarters in Boulder, CO, is, well...freezing. An average year round temperature of 32.5 °F means the good people of Fraser know what frigid temps feel like. On top of which, Fraser is recognized as one of the coldest incorporated towns in the lower 48. Furthermore, 140mi Southwest of Denver situated in just West of Pike's Peak, and East of Mounts Elbert and Harvard, three of Colorado's tallest 14,000' peaks, is Antero Reservoir which recorded 2 consecutive days of a frigid -48 °F temperature just a couple of weeks ago. The "-" isn't a typo. All this is to say that we've grown accustomed to the coldest month in the Western US thanks to the gear we have to keep us warm, and figured we should clue you in on it too. We present to you our Frigid Favorites. | | | | | | Metro Bone-chilling temps and snowy, wet winter weather are no match for the Metro GTX Infinium Down Parka.
