Kicking Off With A Bang

WELCOME BACK

Quincy, Krys and Jess at the Open Garden | Open House event from January.

It's been an amazingly positive start to 2025. We can't thank you all enough for the warm fuzzy feelings that were overflowing at our first Open House event. We've been asked a bunch already about when it'll happen next... stay tuned is the only plan we have. We loved it and from what we heard, you all did too, so hopefully we can pull it off again one day in the future.

THE NEW ORIGINALS

What better way to start off the new year than with some new leathergoods and boots?

This week we just launched our latest addition to the Originals range: The Jack Gusset Original in Teak. We were finding a lot of folks were after a classic chocolate brown Chelsea. There's a lot of them out there, so we thought we might throw our hat into the ring.

Still using our locally tanned crust from Geelong along with linings, insoles, outsoles, heels and pull tabs all made locally, these guys are truly made in Australia. And as always, we're pretty excited to be able to support all those businesses that support us.

Jack Gusset Original in Teak: $775

Stock available now, but we'll make up more as they go.

THE QUINCY JEAN BACKPACK

It feels like just yesterday that we first brought our daughter, Quincy, into the workshop at 6-weeks old. What happened to the last 3.5 years!? QuincY starts Kindergarten this week and we'll be sending her off with a bag with her name all over it (it's best to label things, we're told).

Introducing the Quincy Jean Backpack:

Loosely referencing a Japanese Randoseru; this is a bag which is designed to see out your entire school life. Imagine investing in something that will last you the next 14 years.

Designed for both children and adults (choose your strap length). After all, do we ever really stop being students?

SGT PEPPER MEN'S CUBAN GUSSET BOOT

Sgt Pepper Men's Cuban Gusset Boot in waxed Whisky with brown edge on Stanley toe

Welcome Sgt Pepper to the Gusset Boot family. The Beatles made this Cuban-heeled style famous in the 60's, so we thought it apt to dedicate our first foray into the Cuban world to them. This sculpted boot really elevates the classic Chelsea to new heights (I think dadness is finally kicking in, sorry) with its fiddleback and pegged waist detail.

These two samples are made in our new double waxed and rolled leather, but more on that in the next email...

OPEN HOUSE | OPEN GARDEN | CELLAR DOOR EVENT

We just wanted to say thank you to the 400 + people who came to our Open Garden | Open House | Cellar Door event. It was so lovely meeting new people, seeing old customers, and locals alike. The feedback was only positive, and everyone seemed to really enjoy their time. To those that also bought Krys' Galotz wine, we also say thank you! See some pictures from the lovely local photographer, Mira Kim, below.
